Six Month Summary of General Fund Receipts and Disbursements
Receipts $424, 396 Disbursements $452, 929 Difference -$28,533
As of June 30, 2006, there were 5 accounts totaling $18,453.82 overdrawn. State law states, under the “Duties of Supervisor” that “He shall not permit any fund or appropriation account to be overdrawn at any time nor draw upon one fund or appropriation account to pay a claim chargeable to another” (Article 8, Section 125). Some of these accounts have been overdrawn for months. Apparently Supervisor Talmage does not consider this section of law to apply to him. But how can the town board and the taxpayers get an accurate picture of the state of town finances if the supervisor does not keep accurate records as required by law?

Rae is right on target. Experience in the field clearly is on Rae's side and Mr. Talmage has been struggling since the day he arrived.
Self announced, he was bragged that he was the kind of resident who never much cared or got involved.
Apparently it shows.
I wish you would stop picking on Milan Supervisor Talmage. He may not be so swift in handling our money, but he is the only Supervisor we have.
On the main website check out the details on Talmage's most recent financial "summary." This guy can't even properly track accounts and shows a duplicate two lines below and then to top that off, even subtracting the duplicated account his numbers STILL don't add up!
TO A FRIEND OF VAN: With friends like you, this Supervisor is able to sand bag the board, the public and the state. All while our taxes are pushed higher, expenditures are through the roof, budget accounts are overdrawn (repeatedly) and he refuses to answer the issues during meetings; he has a shaky history financially and ersonally and it is apaprent he's hiding something.
To Rae Dachille - I’m not sure if you are retired or perhaps fired – it seems to me you do not know what you are talking about – if you were really a Principal Auditor I would think you would not allow someone like Jack Campisi to use you and the State Comptroller’s Office to spread lies and innuendo. Something tells me the OSC would frown on the position you take in its name. And, when someone offers to do something for free it is because what that person is offering has no value.
I take exception to the comment that when someone offers to do something for free it has no value- what a ridiculous thing to say. What lies has Mr. Campisi spread? It seems to me that the facts are coming directly from the town hall public records. All one needs is a calculator. Personally, Im glad someone is paying attention to where out tax dollars are going!
Lies and innuendo...sounds like a rock song.
Know what..I'm out of here. You people deserve Mr. T and his cronies.
Now that this web site has been caught spying on it's users and also deleting comments that tell the truth, do you think we are dumb enough to believe this cover story
You missed one of the warnings about your internet spying. Go check your blogs again and cover all of your tracks this time.
This shows how much you people hold the residents of Milan in contempt. You use your web site to spy and then use one of the lamest excuses ever to try to cover up. Come on Jack (PHD) - this is the best you can do?
So did you lie about the spying or did you lie in your posting? Either way Milan United has a problem with the truth.
