Kingman & ZBO
We know George Caruthers blew his cool at the last ZBO meeting. What we would like to know, why did ZBO chairman, Jack Grumet have a private meeting with Loren Kingman and Ross Williams just before the meeting? Is Kingman calling the shots for the Zoning Board by telling Grumet what to do? Has not Kingman caused enough mess in Milan by preventing the rebuilding of the gas station?
No one has questioned how long Mr. Caruthers has been hampered from bringing a restaurant to Milan. No one has asked how much money he has been forced to pay into the town’s escrow account and the Turkey Hill Gang has refused to give him an accounting of how they spent his money.
The big mystery about Mr. Caruthers is how come it took him so long to blow his stack?

What exactly did George have to say at the meeting? That he was sorry for never bothering to follow procedures, get permits, inspections, etc.? That he would immediately comply with stop work orders, injunctions, etc.? That he'd follow the rules that everyone else has to follow in order to get things done?
Or was it something else?
You are right Anonymous - a friend told me he has done nothing by the book, but I guess that is why he is MU poster boy - they think there should be no rules or laws, I think one of them said about zoning - "let it roll". And you see what you get by thinking you don't have to follow the procedures that everyone else does - you get that dump he wants us to think will bring peace and harmony not just to Milan but to the world!
The Question here is not about George Catuthers, the question is about Kingman. Is he dictating to Jack Grumet how to run the zoning board? George has his short comings, that is between him and the zoning board. Kingman has no business butting in. He has caused enough of a mess in Milan, take a look at what was a gas station. Maybe you people like it that way.
Folks, the truth of the matter here is the Carrothers is a well known businessmand and builder. He knows the zoning laws in this town and others, probably bettter than our zoning officer. Why should he have to wait years, yes years for Fink from Greenplan (the town's planner) to finally get off his butt to answer a simple question on "impervious coverage." Greenplan wrote the law, so why did we just pay him more than $15k to interpret the law he created and/or blow Caroothers escrow money with yet another planner from his firm? Is there NO ACCOUNTABILITY with this clan? George is far from perfect, but he is a long-time Milan resident who always does quality work.
No he doesn't Bobbie - he didn't know the zoning codes when he was the inspector and he certainly doesn't know them now. Besides if he was a good ZEO/BI and a good builder he would understand how the system works and would do the work that others in the town are expected to do. Why is he any different than say Paul Hughes - he followed the rules and got what he wanted and has a great site - not a dump like your poster boy George.
First of all, Bill May, this isn't Bobbie and no Paul didn't follow the rules; check with Ross WIlliams Exec. Ass. Kingman and maybe you'd something instead of what "brainless" tells you.
You know, I don't know who is more pathetic, Van an unsophisticated country bumpkin who can't even keep a job, or someone like you that supports an idiot and an idiots behavior.
again, the anger - and as I remember Bill May and Greg Becker are the only people who use their own names on the blog. I think there are a lot of people out there and blogging who think you guys are insane with anger and don't buy the crap you put out there (including Bobbie Egan). And how is it that Jack went from a Doctor to a Secretary (and not a good one)- talk about a drop in status - and most of the stuff he writes is wrong not to mention filled with anger and hate - oh well I guess that is just Jack - doctor or not.
To: not bobbie useless said - if you are claiming not to be bobbie egan why wasn't your rant posted under Appraiser_bob said...
You know what Al we all know you hate Bill May esp. since he beat you so badly in the Democratic Committee Primary (only your family voted for you).
I suggest to those who are looking for facts go to the the town's official web site - www.milan-ny.gov (official sites end in gov). The site has a lot of information and facts and no Red Alerts and all of that emotional rage that this site puts up and that detracts from the facts. This site is also very selective about what facts they use - they only share what they want you to know - not the whole truth. And, going to meetings is also a good way to gather informaiton.
LOL! Will the real Bobbie Egan please stand up! Lets drag all this anger and hostility to the Town Hall Saturday, November 4th at 10 am. It will be interesting to see how many people are willing to give up their property rights through selective over-regulation.
Leave it to Bill May to assert the I'm Bob Egan, or whoever, I find your remarks equal in value to Councilman May's (I must assume a relative). As for Campisi he's your whipping post - wasn't he the main source for the former administrations woes? I, for the life of me, can not figure out why he left your group - he is, after all, a Democrat right?
no he isn't - he swithced parties -right after he did not get his way in controling the supervisor - he belongs to you now
"Just The Facts" Is that rambling Bill May again or does he have a mental twin? What a terrible thought
Mr. Campisi is a registered Democrat, see below
NYDACC 06NOV06:
CAMPISI JACK 4 WEBSTER COON RD RED HOOK 845-758-6183 DEM
Thanks Apraiser Bob, you have given "Just the Facts" the Facts if he can digest them. Jack Campisi is a registered Democrat and is not a turncoat like Mr. Williams or Mr. Jeffway who were Republicans. Jeffway is now chairman of the Milan Democratic Party. Because Mr. Campisi does not agree with the mismanagement by Williams, Talmage and the Turkeys, of our town government and finances he sees it as no reason to switch parties. It does not bother Turncoat Williams, he would sell anyone out for a price.
