Thank you Milan United

Happy New Year. By now we all have had an opportunity to read the second installment on Milan’s literary master piece,”In Milan”. (Evidently Appraiser Bob is not the editor or might have appeared in musical form.) We got a windup of some of the happenings in the town during 2006; but not them all, just the headlines not the goof-ups. We won’t explore the shortcomings of the present administration; Milan United has already exposed their condescending contempt for the citizens of the town on their web.

It is interesting that in the course of 2006 the present board proposed passing 12 laws, each law attempting to strip away more and more of our freedom. The previous administration under Supervisor Jim Jeffreys did not passed 12 laws in 10 years and it is doubtful if during Tom Odak’s 27 years as town supervisor had passed 12 laws. In just 12 months, this bunch have tried to pass the most draconian laws with total disregard for the citizens of Milan.

In their publication they attempt to give the status of three of the laws that they failed to push through. 1/ The Rural Space Overlay; 2/ The Wetlands Law; 3/ The Vending of Refreshments Law. They are at present under further review which means there will be more legal fees. The producers of the newsletter failed to mention why these laws are subject to further review. They did not mention that the citizens of Milan strongly protested at the public hearings the passing of these laws. They did not mention the Milan United was instrumental in alerting the public to the detrimental nature of the laws. They also failed to thank Milan United for showing them the evil of their ways.

Thank you Milan United

If I correctly recall when Mr. T and Ms. C.C. originally ran for office, their platform was that (in July mind you) the Town of Milan had "too" much money, that the residents had been over taxed and that the money should be given back in lower taxes. Following their victory I expected a huge decrease in my taxes...still waiting. Now Mr. T. says the town has not spent the entire budget and there is a significant operating surplus (more revenue than expected and less expenses than budgeted). Whoopee, I'm looking for a hugggggggggeeee decrease in my taxes for 2008.

Great Expectations Anonymous. Do you know that Mr. T. and Ms. PCC are liars? Do you know Mr. T has over spent his budget every year? Do you have any idea how much of our money Mr.T and his bunch have squandered on lawiers not the mention the pending Red Wing lawsuit? Do you know that Mr. T is overdrawn in most of the town accounts and has plundered the Wilcox Trust to cover his rearend?
Do you know the Milan Finance Committee consists of Mr. T and Mrs May? That's almost funny except they are playing with our money. And you talk about a decrease in taxes in 2008. Hopefully Mr. T and Ms.PCC will not be there in 2008. Support MILAN UNITED and get them out.

Bill May was back-tracking big time!

Contradictions abound in Milan tonight...May was backpedaling faster than Lance Armstrong! H tried feebly to defend his previous outlandish statements from last month when he trashed Tom Odak and the Wilcox Trust at the board meeting and again here on the blog.

Pack up and sell and don't let the door hit you or Diane's butt on the way out!
