Support Our New Officials

Our newly elected officials are gearing up to accept the challenge of restoring sanity to Milan. After four years of the previous administration's behavior in reckless spending and irresponsible behavior in passing new laws, our new team will be facing an uphill fight. In addition to the above, they have inherited three lawsuits as well as four dilapidated bridges for which there are no funds available for repairs.
We voted them into office now let us give them our full support by attending the monthly town board meetings. There are still two board members left from the past, Williams and May; as evidenced by their past performance, they will do everything in their power to hinder the newly elected officials. Over the past four years we have seen what these people tried to do to Al Lo Brutto. By our presence at the town board meetings and supporting our new team we can make sure that these two do not try to derail Milan’s journey back to a sane government.
Support our new officials, Richard Barrett, Bobbi Egan and David Byrne by being there.
Let them see they have our continued support in restoring sound government to Milan.

What have ethey done?

Vindictivness knows no bounds with the likes of Williams and May. They were ready to hike taxes 25% (+) just 2 weeks ago; now they are preaching that we poor Milaners need a break.

These two are reckless, irresponsible and corrupt. They have decided to balance the budget on the backs of our highway department staff. They've slashed the highway budget (yet again) leaving the Sueprintendent with barely enough to maintain the status quo.

Apparently, now that they've lost control of the pocketbook, they claim spending must be dramatically reduced. It is sick to hear them blame the voters as these mutual sicophants twist on the pitard that they themselves set.

These two do not deserve the public's support for anything; they should resign and save us the trouble of kicking them out at the next election.

Take a tip from the Pauline & Howard Clark, Barabra Huey, Dennis Clancy and others who are leaving our fair town - go back wherever it was you came from.

couldn't agree more - they should resign and you guys should settle those lawsuits without interference from them, your job is to help red wing exercise its property rights (let's face it we all need gravel) and for gods sake get rid of the wetlands law - you said we should do what we want with our water - keep up the good work.

To the last comment - The three newly elected people ran on an anti mining platform.

Are you suggesting that they betray the voting public???

Since you haven't openned up a spot to talk about the garbage contract here goes.

If Dyal can now offer to do the garbage at such a low price now - WHY have we been over paying for the last teo years!!!

Guess he has pocked enough of our cash.

Is there something wrong with having a local business thrive in this town? The question is not what is he charging but why is this on-its-way out town board working so hard to get rid of him? The concerns of our citizens didn't matter in this case; the public hearing was just a formality - it was already decided to award the contract to another carting firm. Lets hope the new town board actually listens to the people that live and work here. Maybe then we'll have fewer lawsuits!
Hasta la Vista Van and Pauline!
