Sanity Returns to Milan
Milan United congratulates our Winning Team: Richard Barrett, Bobbi Egan and David Byrne. Our Team fought a hard battle and showed what Milan residents are really like when they are pushed to the limit.
Boss Williams or should we say Loss Williams, and his Turkey Hill Gang got a lesson on how far Milaners can be pushed. Williams learned that it takes more than New York City money to buy the people of Milan. The City crowd supplied Williams with the money but not the votes. Milan residents spoke on November 6th and said Milan cannot be bought with New York City Big Bucks, they want their town back, they want their freedom back, they want a gas station back and they might even like to go dancing.

I hope Van will be okay sleeping in that old tent..
When Is Pauline Clark going to give the donation she promised three years ago to the Fire Department? She publicly stated at the public hearding on a new contract that she was donating her year's salry to the Milan Fire Department, as of yet we have not seen anything from her. No wonder she is leaving town, her lies are catching up with her.
Congratulations to all town residents.
With local residents regaining control of the town board, we will finally be provided with a majority who has listened and will listen to us.
The bitterness being exhibited by Mr. Williams and the departing Ms. Clarke can lead to no good at all.
We must all be vigilant in the next few days as the outgoing board finalizes the budget.
We must work to assure that the Highway Department receives the revenue it needs to keep our roads in shape.
Mr. Talmage's remarks indicate that he intends to damage the fiscal and structural integrity of the town by lowering Mr. Butler's highway funds and slashing operational accounts.
So much for a legacy.
I may be totally mistaken but perhaps the Town might apply for New York State CHIPS funds or Multimodal assistance to defray the cost of repairing the bridges? These programs are to assist municipal highway projects. I'm pretty sure that the Town of Stanford received a fair amount of funds for the repair of one of the town's bridges. Why not ask Supervisor Tetor how he mananaged to secure the aid.
When will it end??
REPENT, REPENT, the end is near. On January 31st it will end and a new era will dawn on Milan on January One, 2008, hallelujah, hallelujah
thank god there will be a new board to help these poor people who have had there property rights abused. I know Dick, Bobby and Dave stand for property rights so I am sure they will settle this suit and at the very least pay the owners. I voted for the milan united team becasue I knew they would protect me and others who think individual property rights are more important than anything else - and here is a clear case - I know the new board will do the right thing.
We'll be dancing like fools in Milan
