Lemonade Law Sent Back
At The Town Board Meeting on Monday, November13th, Defacto Town Supervisor Williams and his Board went down to ignominious defeat on the public hearing on the "Vending of Refreshment Law", affectonately known as the "Lemonade Law" or the Anti-Rocky Mancini Law". The board had planned to railroad this law through with a 10 minute public hearing and then vote on it. Milan United saw to it that there was a 30 minute public hearing giving voice to many who opposed the law. The Board was forced to reconsider the law.
Bill May, true to his form, in his own elegant fashion defend this piece of nonsense. Mr. May is against any form wayside stands in Milan, this includes lemonade stands.l

Maybe Bill does not LIKE lemonade...
Who cares if Bill likes lemonade? The question is Why do we need all these regulations?
Did you read the law? It has nothing to do with Farmer Markets - are you just stupid or making a political point? Oh and by the way it also has nothing to do with lemonade and lemonade stands - I'm not sure about this law, but I do know how to read and apparently you don't. Do we even have Farmer Markets here in Milan, other than the North Road guy that I thought you guys hated - again I think you all are just stupid and very hard to believe.
is that what you guys are up to? You want to have a Farmer's Market on rocky's property like the one in Rhinebeck? I don't know about anyone else, but I don't want to see a Framers Market with a bunch of tents and stuff sitting on Rockys property every weekend - but it does help explain why you are against the law - you have your own self interest to protect because you want a farmers market every weekend on rockys gravel mine.
Perhaps the time as come where we may stop calling each other "stupid" or "ignoramus"? I thought this was a public forum where one could voice an opinion without name calling? A reasonable discourse should not be beyond us and differing opinions must be valued and appreciated. Have we degenerated to such a degree that when one doesn't agree or voices a dissenting opinion that person is described as something resemling an idiot. Let's agree to disagree and respect each other.
Remind me again who our farmers are and what they produce? I'm having trouble with what farm products are grown here in Milan - and just how many farms are there to support a farmers market?
Oh my - the anger, again
